BLACK TOMATO

I've placed tomato covered with tar in a public park. This way I’ve made it a public sculpture, available to general public, that can be consumed both, as a vegetable and as an art form. The object is covered with tar so it is preserved and conserved from outside, but in the same time it deteriorates from the inside. This way I’ve drawn a parallel with genetically modified products that stays fresh longer period of time but their quality is questionable.
